    Posted Jun 07, 2018 08:15 AM

Is there a way I can disable the DNS resolution time alarm in url_response probe.
Deleting the key in Raw Configure doesn't seem to work for me. Did anyone faced a similar situation, how was it fixed.

Hello Abhishek, you may consider to create a filter on nas for that.

I know using nas pre-processing rule for exclusion is one of the options.

But can this be done through the probe itself (i.e. url_response)

Maybe a possible workaround, You may try putting up a large value in DNS resolution time (ms) so it may never got breached until a url is not accessible at all

or you can change the alert message level for DNSResolve time to information or clear.

Hello, I'm not entirely sure what happens if you totally remove the key dns_resolution_time from the alarm profile. However, normally, just not having a value for that key, should stop any alarm.

If this is not happening, please try forcing a fresh restart of profile and probe.

    1) deactivate the profile

    2) deactivate the probe

    3) aknowledge the alarm

    4) Start the probe

    5) open the profile, be sure there is no value in the dns resolution box

    6) activate the profile
