Device Correlation in UIM

Hi All,

 

  How does device correlation happens in UIM whenever a server is discovered with Robot as well as in VMware probe ...In cdm probe have enabled send short qos name ,but however metrics are coming with FQDN name ...in Dr .Nimbus i can see only short name,still i need to override setting in Controller setup ?

 

In UMP Performance Report designer i can see short name has vmware metrics and FQDN name has robot metrics.

 

Some servers are not getting correlated as same name in inventory. We could see two entries one from vmware probe (metrics are populating fine)and other from Robot where metrics are not populating.

Yes Phani .I saw the about docs already...But still for some servers correlations are not happening where server is discovered with Robot as well in VMware probe.

We sometimes turn off all the correlation rules except for "IP Address" to deal with this types of problem to avoid device duplication.
