  • 1.  Why no OS detail showing in UMP for servers

    Hi Guys,

     

    I have some servers visible in UMP and it is showing as devices and not showing and OS details in the UMP.

     

    What could be the reason and how to resolve this?

    Hello!

     

    Please do the reset Discovery process:

     

    How to reset discovery in CA UIM 8.10 or later 

     

     

    If is a VMware Servers, please check if the VMware Tools are installed on each VM and updated.

    Hi Alex,

     

    I have a question. In step 2 of instruction there is one query to delete computer_system. Will it delete the whole computer system details and their old data?

     

    I have 8.51 running in my environment. Do i still need to reset discovery in this way?

     

    I tried deleting few devices manually and they have reappeared as devices and no OS details showing in the UMP.

     

    If i check the box for prevent rediscovery, then would it be possible to rediscover the same devices I have deleted and prevented rediscovery?
