  • 1.  Support for AS400 v7.3

    Posted Nov 22, 2017 01:09 AM

    Hello,

One of our partner has multiple customers monitoring AS400 v7.1, and they are planning to upgrade AS400 v7.3 version, which is not supported via CAUIM.

Are there any plans to include support for AS400 v7.3,  and which release it will be included?

If not, what is the process to open a new CERT ticket?

    Thanks

    Darshan

Thank you for your quick response Franklin. Any update on when UIM 9.0 will be released, approximately?

    Hi,

We are running alot of 7.3 on in our UIM. Even if it's not supported, all of them are working fine.

Some history and good to know maybe, because alot of people still think the system is called AS400 or iSeries

IBM changed the name of AS400/OS400 to iSeries/i5/OS in 2000. And in 2006 the platform was rebranded again to IBM Systems i. Then again in 2008, the platform was renamed to IBM Power Systems and the OS name became IBM i, and still is today.

    Year: 1988 > 2000:

    Platform/HW: AS/400

    OS:                OS/400

    Year: 2000 > 2006:

    Platform/HWeServer/iSeries

    OS:                i5/OS

    Year: 2006 > 2008:

    Platform/HWIBM Systems i

    OS:                i5/OS

    Year: 2008 > Today

Platform/HWIBM Power Systems (also runs Linux and AIX)

    OS:                IBM i
