  • 1.  Enable Situations to Watch data collection w/o Admin Console

So question, we want to make use of the "Situations to Watch" report when your in the UMP > USM and have a group selected then in the RHS in the reports button click on the STW report option.

The issue is we don't use the Admin Console to configure any probe unless they are the AC only probes. We deploy our base set of probes (cdm, ntevl, ntservice, processes) using Infrastructure Manger (IM)

So my question is what does configuring a cdm probe thru AC do so that it generates the STW report data? We cannot go to each and every robot and each cdm instance and open it in AC 3500+ times to get this enabled. No way.

So what changes or what triggers the STW data when you configure a probe thru the Admin Console? Is there a way to make that change programatically so we can enable this in our environment?

So I looked at the Wiki page that the STW "no data available" page says when there is no Data on a group of items. URL: https://docops.ca.com/ca-unified-infrastructure-management/8-5-1/en/using-ump/the-unified-service-manager-portlet/configure-analysis-reports-in-usm/considerations-and-requirements-for-situations-to-watch-reports

the thing is, is there a way to turn this on programatically?

Hi Yu, thanks for the other links to the posts but what exactly is happening when we enable the Baseline and TTT on a probe w/in the AC? What is changing specifically that enables this? Is it a db change, a baseline probe change???

    hi, daniel.

    it is no db change.

prediction_engine will start prediction for your metric and raise predictive alerts when threshold breaching is predicted,

for example, something like --- disk usage will breach your threshold in next x minutes
