  • 1.  How to add Networks Devices interfaces with host name

    Hi Team,

     

    We are using CA NFA 9.3.6 on windows server 2012 R2 it's a Stand alone single box.

     

     

    While we are getting few IP addresses with host name and few are showing with only with IP.

     

    So our concern is that, is it possible to get all the host name in Host Summary.

     

    Kindly suggest.

    You need to make sure that the NFA Console machine can resolve the IP addresses using DNS.

    This kb article explains how DNS name resolution works:

    In short as Kahlil stated the console does the DNS resolution.

    However the host name will only be queued up to be resolved once the host ip is viewed in a report at least once in the GUI.  After that it will be queued to be resolved. The console will attempt to resolve up to 100 names every 5 minutes.
