We are experiencing issues with net_connect probe. Deleted devices in ( eg: server, network devices) net_connect probe is populating again and because of this we are getting alerts. We are using UIM 8.47 and net_connect ver 3.3 . Would someone help me what could be the reason for this issue ?

    Make sure the below.

    - Deleted monitoring profiles for Decomissioned devices from your probes.

    - Clear NIS cache files from robot where your monitoring probes running

    Stop Robot

    Delete ALL files in <UIM>/niscache

    Start Robot

    - Delete devices from UIM DB.

    UIM version up to 8.5

Remove Master Devices - CA Unified Infrastructure Management - 8.4 - CA Technologies Documentation

    UIM version at 8.5.1

Delete Devices in USM - CA Unified Infrastructure Management - 8.5.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Thanks Yu

The interesting thing here is that these devices are deleted 2 months back, wondering why it is coming back now. Also i have checked the devices in DB for deleting master key, but these devices doesn't exist there.

    Thank you for response.

Is there any possibility that you got alert from devices through gateway probe such as ?

    - snmptd

    - sysloggtw

No. We are not using snmptd and sysloggtw probes. These devices are network switches and not servers . It is used only in netconnect probe.
