We are currently on 8.5.1 UIM, we have been hearing about MCS and its capabilities. We were wondering how mature this component is and if it completely functional. Any Pros', Con's, issues, that we should consider prior to devoting a lot of time to it now. If its not ready for prime time, we would rather wait until it is fully matured.

    TIA

Hello Patrick, please consider to apply the most recent MCS fix 8.5.8HF1 which you can download from https://support.ca.com/us/product-content/recommended-reading/technical-document-index/ca-unified-infrastructure-management-hotfix-index.html

    Hello,

I would say MCS is functionnal for several use cases and might fall short for a couple of them. Answering clearly to such a question is pretty tough: that really depends on what you're trying to achieve, which probes you want to target, the complexity of profiles you want to deploy, the volume you have to address... Could you share a little bit more details with us?

MCS is now the path to go anyway, and even it will evolve, it will probably not change totally for a while. You can invest time on it but requirements should be wisely reviewed before. CA Services could give you a hand if needed!
