Im trying to use nimalarm from a bash script, in the docs here: The NimAlarm Utility - CA Unified Infrastructure Management - 8.1 - CA Technologies Documentation  it says you have to us -t, -n, -m for UMP...

Note: The -t, -n, and -m options are required for UMP. If these options are not used, the alarm will not appear in USM.

Additionally, you must set the variable ${hostname} using the -a option:

    nimalarm -t 2.2.3.1 -n Response -m 2.2.3.1:1 -V as#network.dhcp_responce.dhcp_srv_didnot_response -a hostname=mySystemHostname "DHCP server mySystemHostname did not respond"

My question is.. where in the heck do I find the value for these CI Types..  Im searching in the docs for CI Type and CI list .. and CI and cannot find it... so is there a list of CI types to chose from ? and where is it. ?
    thanks

CI Types / CI ID are just optional for nimalarm.

These are very much internal term in CA UIM so you don't need to supply that.

    FYI

We have resource file in UMP robot where you could explore for list of CI Types / ID
