  • 1.  Bypass Alarm the NAS suppression setting

My NAS is configured to Suppress messages

First says OPEN, then subsequent are SUPP

This works well in our environment, but I have one particular log file to monitor where I would like to send the trap each time even if the message is nearly identical.  I think I am saying, I would like to bypass the NAS suppression so that every alarm sends a trap to spectrum.  Is it possible to configure this for this individual one off situation?

    Hello, Floydian.

You can deactivate "Activate message suppression" but please note it applies to all the alarms.

Logmon lets you specify a suppression key for the individual watcher. Just make the suppression id the line of text from your log and it will take precedence over the 50 characters of the message text. That also gets around the issue where digits aren't considered significant to easily get around having dates in the log message but sometimes digits are significant elsewhere in the message.
