Is there a monitor that can be run against the total CPU usage of the system on the iSeries?

The CPU monitors only appear to applicable to individual jobs rather than system wide.

If such a probe or function exists, can this be QoS and alarm?

    Many thanks

Hi, What product do you have this question about?  I am trying to get it to the correct area.  Is it CA Performance Management?

    Looks like UIM.

It is indeed UIM. The probes sysstat, diskstat, jobs, etc cover a lot of bases on AS400's, but is there a probe that can just do a total CPU usge reading or is that something we would have to design ourselves?

if you need to monitor the CPU of a single partition on IBMi (yes, it was along time ago it was called iSeries or AS400), you can do this with the sysstat-probe.

If you need it for the entire Power-machine, you need to check the ibmvm-probe.
