    Where I can get or download Gigastor Connector version 10.0?

    What do you want do with this connector ?

    (integrate Gigastor in ADA 10 console ?)

    Hi JFL,

     

    We want to analyze the packets captured by the Gigastor using the ADA console/GUI.

     

    And to have the information in the NPC dashboard.

     

    For info, the ADA version we have right now is of version 10.0.

    Sales,

     

    You have to discuss this with you CA sales representative. You do require a Standard Monitor as well ( unless you have a MTP ). The Connector only does not help.

    Yes, we have MTP as well as standard monitor.

     

    Does it need extra license to have Gigastor Connector?

    Saleh,

     

    In this case you need the Connector only and this is a chargeable item. This is why you have to talk to your CA representative.

     

    The only other thing to watch for is that your MTP doe have the spare capacity to process the information send by the GS.

    Is it a CA appliance ?

     

    normally , it must be already installed .

    Yes, we already have the Gigastor server. It is a CA appliance indeed.

     

    It came with version 14.1. It has been updated to version 16.1

    Does it mean that the Gigastor Connector has also been updated?

    How to check it?

    Hi Saleh ,

     

    If you open the Gigastor  config from the ADA console , the versions must be displayed .

     

    Also , if you go deeper in the displayed datas , is the observer GUI opening and displays datas ?

    ADA 10.0 and Observer 16.1 are compatible, but you will have to purchase a license for the GigaStor Connector code from CA.  Once you do, you'll be able to download it from the support site and install it on your GigaStor.  From there, the setup is fairly straight-forward.

    Support.ca.com -> Download Center - > Download Products -> Search for "GigaStor Connector"


    If the item shows up in your search bar, you are entitled to that software package and may download it at your convenience.

     

    The connector must be installed on the GigaStor unit so that it may communicate with the ADA Single port or ADA Multi-Port collectors.
