Hello All,
I am looking for options to bulk update Origin on Robots .
How are everyone doing it ...any ideas please?
Hello Phani,
you may have a look at the documentation "Bulk Robot Deployment with an XML File"
https://docops.ca.com/ca-unified-infrastructure-management/8-47/en/installing-ca-uim/deploy-robots/bulk-robot-deployment-with-an-xml-file
Advanced users who want to perform extra customization can specify any supported robot parameter.
Please let me know if this helps to answer your question.
Kind regards,

Hi Britta,
I dont have control of the Robot Deployment as its handled by the server team , the robots would already be installed by the time it gets to us.
Are there any better ways of updating Origin in bulk after the robot is installed?
Phani ,
I have created a package with spooler and pushed ,that worked me perfect.
Issac08
Do you mean to say a configuration only package to overwrite specific fields on the robot? This sounds like a good option
I am working on something similar , to use a a configuration package to update the Origin and User tags ...I think this should solve our purpose
Thanks,
Yes pls create a configuration package ,it works good
Hello Phani, another option would be to use a script that uses a sql query to generate a list of robots and then use the probe utility to send the remote_config_set callback to set the origin in the robot configuration.
You may have a look at the niscache file cleanup BAT - niscache cleanup & robot ID reset in the community here which is a good example.
