Dell PowerEdge R630 - Which SNMP probe?

Hi Guys,

 

I am looking to set up SNMP monitoring for a Dell PowerEdge R630 to capture hardware events.

 

I have enabled SNMP v2c via the iDRAC and have the public string which is responding to our hub.

 

Can you advise the best ‘SNMP’ probe to use to monitor for critical events, and advise the best way to achieve this if known?

 

I have the MIB/s for the server in question also if needed.

HI we do not have a dedicated probe for this.

I would suggest looking at snmpget probe or snmpcollector probes to collect the information you are needing.

 

For the snmptcollector you can check support here:

or you could do a self cert for it if it does not exist
