  • 1.  You Spoke, We Listened - Time to Speak Again!

    Hello Spectrum Users,

     

    Last year, during our multiple interactions, including the formal NPS Survey, we asked you for your feedback and you told us that we need to improve the ease of use, make the interface more intuitive, enrich features/content/events and deliver your requests faster. So, in addition to delivering innovations with Spectrum in areas across Enterprise Wi-Fi, SDN/NFV, scale improvement and so on, we have also taken a lot of steps in the direction of your feedback.

     

    We are extending the new Web Client for Network Topology and other enhancements to make it more usable. At the same time, we also enhanced OneClick to me more usable and stable with enhancements like making interface search easy, improvements towards scheduling maintenance mode, NCM captures and discover connections. We also enhanced integrations with other portfolio products like CA Performance Management and CA Unified Infrastructure Management.

     

    One big technical advancement we were able to achieve was to dissociate the certifications from release vehicles. So we will be releasing a quarterly certification pack which will allow you to consume new and updated device certifications by applying content "like a patch". No need to upgrade - and it would be supported for all existing releases. This will make getting newer device content a lot easier. Look out for a detailed notice around this soon.

     

    Yes, we have some areas we will be focusing more in the coming months, like the JRE Certificate expiry issue - they came back to bite us in our backsides. While we are glad we were able to give users a bit more advance notice than the last time, and things weren't as messy - we do have some very concrete plans in place for this. We will keep you posted.

     

    So please continue to provide your feedback - we listen! Please do challenge us and make us hear your voice - we listen!

    Lastly, we were able to do so many things because our management supported us the entire year - ONLY BECAUSE OF YOU ALL! You took the NPS survey seriously and that allowed us to show our management the interest in the product.      We need a lot more responses than we have right now. As I mentioned earlier, this is one of the key mechanisms to show management interest in the product and to ensure we do the right things.
