Just an hour back, we announced CA Spectrum 10.1.1 to be GA. We had a bunch of customers trying it out and after fixing all the defects from the validation.
Below is the key content we are releasing with Spectrum 10.1.1:
As we announced earlier, we also have called out support for the direct 9.3 to 10.1 upgrade as well.
Please refer to the release notes to get more information..
We have started working on some more key initiatives and look out for the community webcast where we will have a live demo for the above capabilities.
Questions/Comments/Critique Welcome. Please reach out to us - you know, we listen!
When will it be available for download?
If not already visible, should be in 30 mins. Please try and confirm.
Has anyone got the opportunity to download 10.1.1?
Done last night for jasper windows and Linux image. 10 hour ago.
Thanks Alex, much appreciated..
Where can I get release notes for these jasper and 10.1.1 downloads?
I checked the download products and there only can see the tar file to download.
I desperately need this also, is there a deployment guide for Jasper and the Integration with Spectrum 10.1.1 ? I need to understand the requirement for the Jasper server and how to configure.
Hi AjitC and DBeneduce,
Sorry for delayed response. The documentation is live now. You should be able to see them here: Features and Enhancements - CA Spectrum - 10.1 and 10.1.1 - CA Technologies Documentation
Nagesh, there are references in the documentation to CABI61. Wiki is not available. At least not for me. Can you check to see if the users that are entitled to see Spectrum documentation can also access CABI61 ?
I am checking with my team. Will let you know soon. Meanwhile I will send you the documentation directly to your email id.
This should be resolved now. Let me know if you are further facing issues with it.
An important update around the Spectrum-UIM integration. We have found some performance issues in the new gateway probe that is being used for the new workflows for the integration. The probe team is in the process of fixing that and retesting it.
While the team is working very hard, wanted to call out that this might take a few more days. I apologize for the inconvenience and disconnect that might be perceived, but all components were supposed to go together at the same time. Given the probe issues, we did not want to hold 10.1.1 because there are other things in 10.1.1 that customers were waiting for and the UIM integration is one of the capabilities.
We are working very hard to smooth out the process of teams working towards a common date, but with different code bases at play, we run into challenges. The good news is, we are not releasing until all problems are fixed
Thanks for your understanding and I apologize again.
I'm trying to install Spectrum 10.1.1 in Red Hat 7. I downloaded two files: GEN03100804M.tgz and GEN03101851M.txe. What's the .txe file for?
After installing the SRAdmin in Linux, the option to install 10.1.1 is still grayed out.
The GEN03100804M.tgz file is the distributed version that contains the install media for Windows, Solaris and Linux. The GEN03101851M.txe file is install media for Linux only.
The reason why the option to install 10.1.1 is grayed out may be because you do not have Spectrum 10.1 installed. You must have Spectrum 101. instselled before installing 10.1.1.
Thanks! I'd appreciate this information to be as a pre-requisite in the documentation, and the corresponding installation process as well.
Upgrading CA Spectrum - CA Spectrum - 10.1 and 10.1.1 - CA Technologies Documentation
I know that I will need to contact sales or what not to get a definitive answer but can anyone tell me if CA Technologies has in the past sold a customer two versions of CA Spectrum so that they can perform an in place upgrade?
Reason I ask is because we are currently running CA Spectrum v9.2.2 H09. I saw from the Upgrading information to use CA Spectrum v10.1 or v10.1.1 you can only upgrade current versions of 9.3 or higher.
I would much rather install 9.3 then jump to 10.1.1 versus a fresh install, discover, model etc.
Thank you in advance for any insight, Ken
CA generally doesn't sell specific versions of Spectrum, at least that I'm aware of. Are you on current maintenance for Spectrum? If so, then you should be able to download and install any release of Spectrum available.
Good info. Thank you for the quick reply. We are not under a current maintenance program.
Rob is right Ken. We do not sell by versions. Once you are current on maintenance, you are entitled to all the supported versions of the software.
