Asking Tips On Appliance Maintenance

Hello,

 

With in a year, three hard disks and one RAID controller of one of our MTPs had been replaced.

 

Can someone share here the tips or recommendation on how to prolong the part especially the hard disk

to avoid the frequent replacement of the hardware part?

 

What preventive measure can be done to the appliance?

 

Is there any tool that can be used to check the health of the appliance hardware parts like hard disk?

Hello Saleh,

 

You bring up a good point because unfortunately this seems to be a common occurrence. However, with VMs around the corner, this soon should be a thing of the past.
