I don't know if this is the appropriate sub-forum for this discussion, but I was curious if anyone has any insight into this.
I need to figure out how to communicate what nimsoft does with "application owners" (or customers) and how they would go about requesting both basic monitoring alerts and more advanced application level alerts. Perhaps if anyone could can give us some guidance on this, perhaps an example of how your company does it.
Essentially my conundrum is that we are beginning to roll out nimsoft in our company and there will be hundreds of application owners, and I have a pretty good feeling what will not work is hundreds application owners who "sorta" know what nimsoft does e-mail me with monitoring requests, I'd imagine there is some business process that would help streamline this.
I realize it may not be the best option with hundreds of people, but I myself like to arrange a meeting where they tell me what the want and I tell them whether this can be done or not, and maybe what could be done instead.
What you don't want is a sales person doing this alone
