UMP - URL Page - New Window option

I'd like to add a link to a url that does not support frames.  I can create a page that is URL, but when when a user selects this page, it leaves UMP to hit the url.  I'd like to have the page open a new window to the url to keep the UMP session active.

Is this possible?

You might consider using the Wiki portlet and putting the URL on the Front Page. then the user can right click the URL and Open in New Window or New tab option(s). Tis way you can provide more than one URL link on a single page.

This may or may not be what you are looking for, but this is how I get a url to open in a new tab.

Usually when specifying a target within an <a> tag in HTML, you enter _blank when you want a new window. I imagine the URL option in Liferay might work the same, so I would recommend trying that.
