    Question:

    I am currently on 2.3.1 and after reinstalling my data collector I now have two data collectors, one with a status of “Unknown”.  How do I get rid of the “Unknown” data collector

     

    Answer:

    You can remove an "Unknown" data collector by upgrading to 2.3.2.  When you upgrade, the install will check for multiple data collector items in the data aggregator database that are associated to the same data collector host.  If they are found then the "Unknown" collector entry will be removed

    Hi, 

    I had the same problem with Unknown Data collector. 

    Please restart the service caperfcenter_console restart on PC. 

    PC will update the list of data collectors and remove unknown data collectors.m
