  • 1.  ITPAM Operations - Processes Instances. How to restart multiple process instances in CA ITPAM.

    Posted May 10, 2017 03:59 PM

Due to a sever backlog caused by a server that went down, hundreds of processes now need to be completed by ITPAM.

    They have all been suspended.

By going into each process, we have to manually reset each process

Is there a more efficient method to restart hundreds of processes in ITPAM?

On the Operations tab, you can click the box at the top of the list to check all shown process instances.  Then you can right click on any process and you will have some options including suspend and resume.

    Thanks Andrew,

The problem is that I only have the option to resume and abort all.

If you resume, it will fail because the Service Desk session ID would have timed out already.

So we need to rather reset and then resume.

Unfortunately there is no bulk 'reset' option.  Please add your support for the IDEA currently being considered to add this type of functionality:

Additionally, you may want to revisit your processes and add in exception handling to generate a new Session ID which could help with this situation but also increase long term stability of these processes in any event that causes the session id to be invalid.
