    Hello everybody!

I am newbie with PAM and I want to know what is recommended about architecture for PAM installation.

Is it absolutely necessary to use architecture with physicals servers or can we use virtuals servers on RHEV for intensive use ?

    Thx

    Hi,

We have been running PAM (and EEM) on Virtual servers running on ESX hosts for several years now with no issues.

Even our MS-SQL DB for CAPA is also hosted on a VM.

Ian is correct, as long as your VM meets minimum requirements there should be no difference between virtual and physical servers.

Please see the Hardware Requirements documentation, which touches on this:

"The configurations are for both physical and virtual machines"

Please note, there is an issue with VM running the E1000 NIC driver, and we recommend switching to a VMXnet-3 NIC Driver.
