How do you know when you need to add an extra node to a cluster?

we have a single orchestrator instance of PA 3.1 which we are planning to migrate to a 4.2 clustered instance.

I have been asked to forecast when we will need to do this?

 

What methods are available to help report and thus forecast the capacity and performance of a PA instance?

 

The same information would also apply to a clustered environment to ensure you add an extra node in a timely manner.
