When I perform a full restore on an Layer7 gateway I have the issue that in the applicance menu I get an error when requesting the current network configuration:
No interfaces found
When I open the ifcfg-eth0 file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts then I see the correct configuration.
I can't login to the appliance via SSH (putty/mobaxterm).
I followed the additional Troubleshooting procedure for the issue "Problem: Gateway is not running properly after a restore":
https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/layer7-api-management/api-gateway/9-4/reference/troubleshoot-the-gateway/troubleshoot-problems-and-solutions.html#concept.dita_7109cd1681768c1f105f6181bb22ebf66186963b_ProblemGatewayisnotrunningproperlyafterarestore
The node.properties and omp.dat files were in the full backup image.
Has someone a suggestion how to perform a restore without this issue ?

Whenever there is a new VM created that will assign a new MAC address, so that needs to be manually corrected in the ifcfg-eth0 file.
When I do this then the interface shows up correctly.
