  • 1.  API Portal 4.3.2 ==> External Tenant and Internal Tenant

    Posted Nov 14, 2019 08:03 AM
    Hi All,

I am little confused here with the naming External Tenant and Internal Tenant.
    Reference: High Availability

Are they referring to Gateways being external and Internal (For example Gateways being in DMZ and Gateways in Intranet)
(Or) API portal URL accessible through External (Public Facing) and Internally with in the network.

As part of the LB config, I am looking for a confirmation on this section.
    Appreciate your inputs.

    thanks,
    imran

    Hi.

Internal tenant means the default tenant created by portal ( apim and apim-ssg ). These does not need to be exposed to general public, since it is used internally to manage the portal it self ( for example, gateway uses it to sync the information or some admin will use PAPI )  while the external tenant is the tenant you create after portal install. This tenant is the one you will provide for the general public and publish your APIs.
