Gateway garbage collector suspension time over limit

    Hi all,

    we have a SW Gateway, 8 nodes, version 9.4.
    In the last days the performance dashboard have raised multiple alerts regarding the garbage collector suspension time value above the custom threshold of 3 %.

    No traffic changes has been detected nor other external factors. No memory or other resource lack has occurred during those events. The only issue is that the garbage collector is working, causing a long suspension time.

    Here are the node.properties options defined for all the GW nodes:

    node.java.opts=-XX:+UseG1GC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=200 -XX:ParallelGCThreads=20 -XX:ConcGCThreads=5 -XX:InitiatingHeapOccupancyPercent=70 -XX:MaxPermSize=512M -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCDateStamps -XX:+UseGCLogFileRotation -XX:NumberOfGCLogFiles=10 -XX:GCLogFileSize=100M -Xloggc:/appl_log/logs/ssg_gc.log -XX:+ParallelRefProcEnabled

    Can any of the above options be set in order to lower the GC suspension time?
    Do you have any idea about the cause of this behaviour?

    Regards,
    Enzo
