API Portal - tenant creation

During the Tenant creation step, there is a requirement to provide the path to a key. Can you confirm:
1. What this key is used for?
2. Can the default key be used for a setup ?
3.. Has it got anything to do with custom certificates that we create for securing portal traffic ?

Hi.

When you create a tenant, the shell script calls a Portal API thru a secure channel ( SSL ). 
This key is used to establish this secure connection so you must use the same key you use to apim-ssg domain.
