Hi Philip:
Is this an authentication error with user/password connecting to the DB? The user would have to have MySQL admin privileges to backup the entire DB. Check the
mysql.user table for users setup for the
ssg database if you were not the one who configured the DB initially. When booting up the VM "root" is the default DB user for the
ssg database and is the user that typically executes the DB backup but you can setup another user if needed for security reasons, this user just has to have the correct DB GRANTS.
