  • 1.  Monitoring policies via SNMP traps

    Posted Jul 10, 2017 09:04 AM

    Hi all,

I am going to insert in my services some 'Send SNMP Trap' assertions to monitor and check particular situations.

Send SNMP Trap Assertion - CA API Gateway - 9.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

I'm using it to validate authentication, routing and some parameters of the request.

Does anybody have any idea about what else can be monitored in a policy, using the 'Send SNMP Trap'?

I’d like to know if does a public SNMP manager exists (and, in case, if it has a web interface), so that I can test my traps.

    Thank you!

    Good afternoon,

We have seen people capture errors with routing and depending on the type of message Schema validation or Injection protection. The mechanism for sending it off box can be either syslog or SNMP traps. As for public SNMP Manager, there are several available online if you search open source snmp manager.

    Sincerely,
