iso8583 assertion?

Hello all,

 

for one of our customers we need to support ISO8583, an international standard in the banking industry. Does somebody has experienced with this? I was thinking of an assertion to process an ISO8583 message into XML so it can be used in any other assertions.

The core product does not have the ability to decode/encode messages with ISO8583, however we do have a tactical assertion (Product extension) that might help.  Although I have not used the 'Extensible Socket Connector' from the documentation it would appear to allow the ISO8583 encoding /decoding.  Can you raise a support case and we can let you have the documentation to review if the assertion will work for your needs.

The Tactical assertion is definitely the best option.  What is the context?  Transforming ISO8583 to another format (e.g. JSON or XML), or a straight ISO8583 proxy?
