  • 1.  Alert Rules not working

    Hello!

    We recently setup Alert Rules (email notification method) to work with our production UVMS (v6.8.41), after having successful tests with our test UVMS (v6.8.41). In both cases we: > "Enable Alert Management" > Restart UVMS > Setup SMTP setting on target Node > setup Alert Rule on target Node > Enable Alert Rule > Full Sync the Node.

     

    Our tests from our test UVMS (v6.8.41) on windows 2008 R2 work fine, we receive an email after a given period of time.

    DUAS v6.8.41 (upgraded from 6.3)

     

    However our prod UVMS (v6.8.41) on windows 2008 R2 attempts are not working correctly:

     

    DUAS v6.5.21 (2 different Nodes on different servers) Windows 2012 R2

    • NO email is received.
    • There is an Alert Rule Icon in Actions in Job Runs.
    • No u_spv_com.log log file is being produced on the target Node. D:\Program Files (x86)\AUTOMIC\DUAS\HUMDEV_*\log
    • Run with administrator.
    • The Nodes logs state: Full sync of 1 alert rules.

     

    DUAS v6.8.41 (upgraded from 5.6) Windows 2008 R2

    • It DOES send an email notification.
    • There is NO Alert Rule Icon in Actions in Job Runs
    • No u_spv_com.log log file is being produced on the target Node in D:\Program Files (x86)\AUTOMIC\DUAS\HUMDEV_*\log
    • The Nodes logs state: Full sync of 1 alert rules.

     

    DUAS v6.8.41 (installed as 6.8.41) AIX

    • It DOES send an email notification.
    • There is NO Alert Rule Icon in Actions in Job Runs
    • Where are the u_spv_com.logs? are they named the same on Unix? ran this in the dir with no luck: find . -name "spv"
    • The Nodes logs state: Full sync of 1 alert rules.

     

    The common denominator so far appears to be UVMS 6.8 + DUAS "not" 6.8

    Any ideas on what the issue might be?
