In order to monitor a Windows service, you need to create a "Service type" entity (in a local or Enterprise Model).

You will be able to enter a name for the entity as well as the name of the service you wish to monitor (This must be the full service name as displayed in the service properties window).

Then, you will be able to monitor the following metrics for each specific "Service Type" entity :

    • Number of running services (no)
    • Ratio of running services (%)
    • One running service at least (0/1)
    • Ratio of one running service at least (%)
    • Ratio of absent service (%)

In case you wish to configure an alert (in a local or enterprise model) linked to a specific service, you need to specify the name of the "Service Type" entity, previously created, in the instance field ("Condition" tab in the "Add New Event" window).
