    Hi Team,

Please let me know if we need to monitor a n/w device in spectrum do I need to open port 161 and 162 bidirectionally between spectrum server and the n/w device.

Spectrum speaks to snmp devices on default port 161 open from Spectrum to the devices.

Spectrum listens for traps on default port 162 from the devices to Spectrum.

Please reference the Communication Across Firewalls section of the documentation for mode details.

I think the communication matrix is quite detailed. You just have to read it.

    Kamal,

The documentation shows if the communication is tcp or udp.

For example, at https://community.broadcom.com/enterprisesoftware/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=882b2086-c514-4545-b8fc-d2c6083e3f20&CommunityKey=671164c3-e575-4b08-96ab-edc2e1ceed13&tab=digestviewer#bm882b2086-c514-4545-b8fc-d2c6083e3f20 at the bottom of the page it states communication is TCP.
