I have a sql server instance running on cluster node A which has it's failover on node B. Is there any option to setup monitoring to alert if it fails over to node B?

The Cluster probe is great to use for many things.  The ntevl probe is great for Cluster faults.  You can pickup all kinds of things in the Windows Event Logs as it relates to the cluster having issues or failing over.
