We have to monitor Dell PowerEdge series storage devices, what are the possible ways to monitor these devices in UIM.
    Please suggest.

    Hi Guru,

You would use the snmpcollector probe. Check http://devicesupport.broadcom.com to see if the model(s) are supported. Select Supported Vendors, then select Dell then select the device(s).

Dell PowerEdge are servers, not storage devices.
Many are supported via the snmpcollector as shown in Steve's link.
depending upon the OS deploying robot and monitoring probes there is another option.
list of support OS for a robot is here:
    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/unified-infrastructure-management/9-0-2/installing/product-compatibility/ca-uim-compatibility-matrix.html

first thing to be done is determine what metrics need to be monitored.
It is a much wiser approach than going after what's everything I can monitor.

    Thanks Steve, David

I have checked in Device Support portal, some of the devices can monitored with snmpcollector/DCD.
I Will get more details from customer & check the compatibility.

Can we do hardware monitoring for these?
