 Load Data Warehouse Job

All,

This is about an inconvenience rather than a major issue.

The Load Data Warehouse Job works in two parts. The first part updates the data in the warehouse. The second manages the Jaspersoft domains. If a customer doesn't install Jaspersoft (the guides say it's optional) then the job fails when trying to execute the second part.

How difficult would it be to put an extra parameter on the job that says "Update Jaspersoft" (default yes), which a customer can clear if they don't use JS at all?

Recently I've been in places where they don't use the warehouse at all (but it needs to be configured). That's fine. Others do use the warehouse though with Micro Strategy, Tableau or MS Business Intelligence. Here the job does need to execute, but they'd like it to exit gracefully rather than fail executing the second part.

Hi Paul

I agree with you and the job was designed in a way to populate the Jaspersoft domains too if you would like to have a change in the way you would like please propose this to our product management team for review. In the mean time you can check the job logs and if its failed due to Jaspersoft connectivity then you can update the job status to be completed (yeah additional work) but that will achieve what you would want.
