May 12, Session Recap
Q: Does the UI support Parent.Parent in any grid view? Community app? (I do know the trick to obtain with Excel Plug-In; but wanted to check if anything new has popped.)
A: Here is an app that shows both Parent and GrandParent of work items:
Q: Is there a way to know who created a user?
A: The user object itself does not capture the creator of a user. This is captured in the user's own revision history in the first or second revision. You can bring up the user, then click on the revision history, scroll down and see the creator. This however, has a limitation that it can only be done for one user at a time. There isn't a way to create a grid and list users all along with their creators, there also isn't a way to filter by creators.
Q: Is there a release date for workflow rules?
A: We are expecting it to be this quarter
Q: How, via a custom app, can I get the colors associated with a portfolio item's progress? Can I get color codes of percent done indicator (% done)?
A: The percent done is auto calculated by Rally, also its color codes are automatically assigned. There isn't a way to customize these color codes or that computation.
Documentation of percent done and its colors can be found at: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/agile-development-and-management/rally-platform-ca-agile-central/rally/using/using-portfolio-items/portfolio-item-tracking/using-the-portfolio-items-page.html
