Subject: VCP-DCV Prerequisite coure
Let me ask for a further clarification.
Reading page VMware Certification Program - Frequently Asked Questions (broadcom.com) I understand that if somebody passes the exam for the VCP-DVC certification without attending the course he/she gets a "[v2]" certification, is it correct?
To what extent is the "[v2]" certification worth less than the standard certification?
If a third-party program requires a VCP-DCV certification, can he/she use the VCP-DCV certification [v2] instead of the standard one?
Regards

Hello,
If you hold no VCP certifications, they recommend to gain experience and to attend one course, but not as Required.
STEP 1 : (Recommended) Gain experience with vSphere 7.x or vSphere 8.x
STEP 2 : (Recommended) Attend one of the training courses
STEP 3 : (Required) Pass the qualifying exam

Does anyone know if we the VCP-DCV still requires the prerequisite course ? I saw an update saying that it was no longer required from May 2024 but on the broadcom site it says it is still required ?
