    Good evening everyone.
     
    I would like some support with a question. Last year I renewed my VCP through training and received the badge (VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2024) VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2024 was issued by Broadcom to Carlos Adelmo. . Is it still necessary to renew the VCP every year? If so, do I need to take the test again to guarantee renewal? I ask because the test I see available for scheduling seems to be the same version for which I earned the badge last year.

    The VCP-DCV 2025 requirements haven't been announced yet so we are all waiting to find out what the upgrade path will be. 

    One thing you won't be able to do is take an exam again that you have already passed so that option to renew is not available. I would imagine at some point this year after vSphere 9 / VCF 9 has been released that there will be an updated exam with the new content but we will have to wait and see. 

    Worth noting however that Broadcom seem to be taking the product in a particular direction and the two new certifications (VCP-VVF Admin and VCP-VCF Admin) are aligned with that new direction so if you wanted to remain current, I'd seriously take a look at either of those two new certifications.

    Does anyone know the VCP-DCV 2025 path to certification or have a link that explains this years qualifications?

    I have 2022, 2023, 2024, looking to get my 2025

    As far as I understand it, there isn't going to be a VCP-DCV 2025 certification. 

    I've had it confirmed to me that the exam is not going to be updated. 

    The future of the product and certification is VCF so take a look at the VCP- VCF Admin certification.

    No requirements have ever been released for a VCP-DCV 2025.

    its also worth noting that if you have taken and passed the 2V0-21.23 exam before, then you will be unable to take it a second time.

    I have done the exam in 2022 and need to renew the cert and I'm also doing the vSan cert. So now I am worried.
