VMware SD-WAN for Service Providers [V4.x]

  • 1.  Lab 5 Task 3 Failure

    I could not get the lab to work as written. When I try to log in as admin@massivedynamic.com and passwd VMware1! it says invalid username or password. [see image]

     

    Logging back in again as admin@managedservices.net I see the new account and all settings seem to be ok. I deleted the accound and tried again a 2nd time double checking everything and only copying and pasting from the lab guide. Still did not work.

    I then logged back in again as admin@managedservices.net and I Click on Administration -> Administrators and clicked on the admin@massivedynamic.com account.

    Then I clicked on Password Reset. [see image] 

     

    At this point I did not set a new password in the management console. I left the fields for Current password and the 2 for the new password blank. I just clicked on Reset password.

     

    I copied the link inside the message starting with https:// and ending with =Null and pasted it in a new tab in the browser.

     

    I was prompted with a New password field and I entered the current password of VMware1! and entered it a second time and it logged in! [see image]

    I'm not sure if this is because the lab is set up or some other reason.

     

    I think the lab environment and this lab need to be reviewed.
