  • 1.  Hi Guys I'm confuse now if i will take VCAP-DCA 5.5 or wait for VCIX6-DCV.

    Hi Guys,

    I'm confuse now, if i will take VDCA550 or wait for VCIX6-DCV. Any advice please?

    My worry is, if I will prepare for VDCA550 exam and unexpectedly VMWARE announce it will expire this year then how? or suddenly one month before I will take the exam VMWARE announce that VDCA550 certification exam is already end of life, then how?. I think it is waste of time but learning while reviewing is there. 

    Any good advice please. Thank you...in advance guys

    ‌The betas for the VCAP6/VCIX6 are open for registration now - I expect it will be 3 months (or more) til the final versions of those become available. And all that has to happen before any talk of retirement for the VCAP5 exams.

    Should the worst happen and the VCAP5 exams go away while you're preparing for them, a lot of what you'll learn would be applicable to the VCAP6 exams.

    Hi scott28tt,

    If VCIX6-DCV will be release it is only once exam right? combination of admin/design, Not like the old VCAP 5.5 it is two exam separately.

    hi Scott

    The betas for the VCAP6/VCIX6 are open for registration now

    How can I register? Is it invitation only? Can't see any information on certification page.

    It was by invitation only, all the slots are taken now as far as I know.

    I'm going this route:

    • From VCAP5 Administration to VCIX6 → Earn the VCAP6 Design certification by passing the VCAP6 Design Exam.

    Seems to me the best option at this time.
