  • 1.  Enable root to access Symantec Messaging Gateway (using WinSCP)

    Hi everyone,

    As title, how to enable root to access Messing Gateway?

    I need to use WinSCP on the system to check some information. I did the set-support command, and I used this account to enter but not enough permissions to see the entire directory.

    Can you suggestions and help me find a plan to access?

    Umm I don't think they will give that access.

    I agree with alexander smg, you will be able only to export files from CC/scanner via FTP or SCP and after that browse them...

    I tried exactly what you are trying...
    I have never succeed...

    No one will give you root access

    You create temporary support id thorugh login to ssh via admin. Then login to scp via that but you can get root account

    The support account is equal access for putty and winscp, but no where near close to "root" access

    Alex is correct, in order to ensure/preserve the integrity of the product, that area is restricted.

    What is it that you are trying to accomplish?

    Support Call is the only way, and even then, they may say no
