Setup NSX Edge for SNMP for SolarWinds

Hello All,

I have been helping a customer with setting up monitoring for NSX with SolarWinds. We got the vCenters connected to SolarWinds but we are trying to accomplish setting up network monitoring for the Edges and UDLR. Is there a way we can configure SNMP within the NSX Edges or are there other ways to go about?

The ESGs, DLRs, etc. send their events to the NSX Manager which generates the traps back to the SNMP collector as described in the VMware Documentation Library   It's important to note however that NSX can only generate SNMP traps and doesn't have the ability for a monitoring platform to poll it for traditional SNMP metrics like interface/CPU/memory utilization etc. so you're limited to what you can get out of ESXi and the vDS when it comes to monitoring via SNMP outside of system events.
