Hi team,
In Azure VMware Solution, I would like to know how to restore the NSX configuration in case it is needed. Currently, the button is greyed out.
Is there a way to query NSX via API to download the configuration into a text file?
Hi,
Basically what Microsoft says it's up to them: "Azure VMware Solution components such as vCenter Server, NSX-T Manager, or HCX Manager are managed services for which Azure manages backup. To restore from a backup, create an Azure Support request." (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-adoption-framework/scenarios/azure-vmware/eslz-business-continuity-and-disaster-recovery#business-continuity-design-considerations)
And I guess there are 2 reasons why :1 - "You must restore the backup to a new NSX Manager or Global Manager appliance.." See : https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/vmware-cis/nsx/vmware-nsx/4-1-1/administration-guide/backing-up-and-restoring-the-nsx-manager/restore-a-backup.html2 - Azure VMware Solution does not give you the possibility to 'just deploy a new manager'. This is their responsibility as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-vmware/introduction#azure-vmware-solution-responsibility-matrix---microsoft-vs-customerBasically you cannot just deploy and restore then any appliance.
