We have an active NSX 6.4.6 cluster of 4 ESXI 6.0x nodes, now we're deploying 4 new esxi 6.7 hosts to replace the old one.

My question is about the distributed virtual switch that is used on the "old" infrastructure.

To minimize the possible downtime due to errors during the configuration and also to make some changes I'd like to know if it would be possible to create a new dvs and attach the new hosts to it and add that new dVS to the NSX configuration so it would also use it .

    thanks

Yes, i think you can do that. We have similar setup.
You need to have 2 clusters. (in our case we have a management cluster and a vdi cluster. Both running their own dvs.
You can connect a cluster to the transport zone. It might be wise to use the same vtep-network-ip-subnet for it (if you have enough ips free in it)
