I am sitll running NSX 6.4.13. I have query with respect to NTP settings

In my NSX Manager I have setup the NTP server settings.

Wanted to check whether other components like Controllers, Edge GW & DLR have separate NTP settings/

If yes how to check from the vCenter GUI

They all get their NTP settings directly from the NSX manager setup.

Thanks. Is there any document or any reference link which states this. The reason for asking this is because I need to show some evidence to state this fact.

What about ESXi host where vibs are installed ? Is it from NSX Manager or from vCenter or locally defined ?

This is for NSX-T. I am looking for NSX 6.4.13. Is the behaviour same or different ?

As you can see from the following linked documentation, if you need to set NTP with NSX V earlier than 6.4.2, then this can only be done via the API. The instructions are linked in the doc. Thanks. In my current environment, when I checked the NSX Manager is configured with the NTP address.

But when I checked the NSX controllers the NTP is not setup (Checked from GUI)

So in this case does the NSX Controllers take NTP refernce from NSX Manager. How can I check and confirm it.

Similarly for NSX Edge & DLR how can I check what is the NTP settings & which NTP server it is referencing it.

Sorry I have been away. The NTP is not sent to the controllers from the manager, they I guess get time settings from their respective hosts. However, if you need to set specific NTP you need to follow the procedures I linked to above.

I am running 6.4.13. Will I be able to add the NTP for controllers via Web GUI.

The other questions are what about DLR & Edge Gateway. There are no options to set the NTP.
When I checked the clock, it is showing in GMT, where the NSX Manager is JST.

Want to understand how DLR & Edge Gateway is getting the clock refernce or the NTP settings.

They will get settings from the hosts they are installed on I assume in that case.
