    Hi Team,

    Greetings...!

As we found that in email security cloud - EIC policy gets triggered on any part of the user name i.e first name or last name if it matches with the user name mentioned in the policy.

Ideally it should trigger on full user name which mentioned in the policy and not just on first name or last name, this is causing lots of genuine emails going into quarantine.

In past for this issue we had opened a ticket with Broadcom and Broadcom has mentioned that  this is by design (expected behaviour ), we want to know if there is any roadmap to improve this detection in email security cloud.

Incase if it is not in road map ,Please help us with the feature request KB article for email security cloud to raise feature request and  we have checked for KB and we are not able to find and we are only getting for other product like CA, SITEMINDER, etc.

    Regards,
    Nawaz

    Hi Nawaz,

The EIC module does not trigger on a single name unless that was the precise input in the EIC configuration - just one name. If you have input two names, it will check variations of those two names, including initials, and that is likely the trigger you're seeing, where it finds the initials of one name, and then the other name in full.

If the trigger you're getting is a valid FP, then please have a support case opened and we can look into it.

As for improvements to EIC, we do have some in mind, but no ETA at the moment.

    Thanks
    Roberto
