  • 1.  How to delete Account in Account Management

    The situation:
    Version used - 8.5 RU4
    The new SMP server console has the account from the old SMP server.
    The old SMP server has already been shut down and disconnected from network.
    The account from old server exist in Account Management and need to be deleted.

    Problem:
    Unable to delete the account because delete option is disabled.
    This screenshot is taken from the new server.

    Question:
    How to delete the old account?

    Hi Ain Abdullah!

    What is current NS AppIdentity account is in use now?
    (Check what account is used for Altiris Service)


    Now when we know what account should be deleted, find it on "Accounts" page > right click on it and export into .xml file


    Edit downloaded xml and change "ItemAttributes" to Normal > save changes.

    Now right click on "Account Management" folder > Import > provide modified .xml to re-import existing account

    Now try to delete this account from Console UI
