    Where can I find the exact license ID that I need to use in creating application inside the SSP hardware. I tried all the serials in the entitlement in my portal bit it did not work.

    Hi Marlon,

    I'm not sure if I understand your problem correctly. You will need your "ISG Proxy" or "ISG CAS" serial numbers that should be available in the portal under "web protection suite".

    Im using the serial number under the  WPS entitlement ISG-Proxy but it doesnt work

    Hi Marlon,

    before you can create an app with your license, you have to import the license first: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/web-and-network-security/integrated-secure-gateway/2-4/About-ISG/License-Management.html

    Afterwards you can create an app.

    Hi Marlon,

    I have the following information from the About Application Serial Numbers and License IDs in our ISG documentation suite:

    If you purchased an Enterprise license for use on an ISG-hosted application, use the license ID of the Enterprise license when installing the license file and creating the application. Enterprise licenses arrive separately from your appliance.

    For Node-locked licenses, the license is an add-on that is associated with the appliance. The license ID for a Node-locked license is the same value as the appliance serial number of the SSP appliance. You can use the show version command in the ISG CLI to view the SSP appliance serial number.

    I loaded all the app license ID in my SSP. My follow up question is how can I make CIFS SMB configuration visible on my SG app?

    Marlon,
    NO CIFS configurable, would also be visible via CLI.  Pretty sure this configuration was stripped when upgrading from 6.x->7.x running an ISG-PR-SUB license.

    I do not currently have access to a non-enterprise license SKU (a license that doesn't look like ####99####) to test with.


    As you can see, service still available in Proxy Services, just not the granular SMBv1 & SMBv2.
