Download from staging location - HTTPS

Hi Experts,

Not sure if there is a thread on this (I could not find any) is it possible to configure the patch management to download from a staging location via HTTPS or SFTP?

We have a customer that don't allow SMB and internet on the SMP, so there is an internet facing SMP to download the PMImport and files from the net then the internal SMP to get the updates from this SMP, would be great to have it vai HTTPS or SFTP.

I did recommend to secure the SMB to only allow the 1 SMP server and block all other which will be used if we can't go HTTPS or SFTP, but as a policy the customer don't allow SMB so I need to ask special permission and that will delay the process.

Hi Rufus,

to comment on HTTP part of question - "Download from staging location" could be used with HTTP address as well, not just UNC.

Dear Dmitri,

I did not test it, but I will check, for now we used AWS s3 gateway and with NFS mounted the drive then using symbolic link to local drive, then adding the symbolic link to the console worked.
